Meet your 2012–2013 FEA National Student Officers
FEA President
Sarah Nicholas
My name is Sarah Nicholas, and I am a senior at Tomball High School in Tomball, Texas. I am president of our school’s TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) organization as well as an active member of FEA, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and a member of the varsity basketball team. I am a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and work at Chick-fil-a. I have four brothers, who have made life crazy, but fun! I hope to attend Brigham Young University next fall and begin work on my teaching degree.
Teaching has been my dream for as long as I can remember! I have always loved kids and nothing excites me more than the chance I will one day have to teach children and help them fulfill their dreams. Serving as an FEA national officer will help me achieve this through experiences I could not have anywhere else. As FEA president, I hope to share what teaching is all about — the kids — with future teachers everywhere. I am honored to have been given this chance to run for FEA national office and cannot wait to represent you!
FEA Central Region Vice President
Chrish Johnson
My name is Chrish Johnson. I am the president of the FEA chapter at Pattonville High School, in Maryland Heights, Mo., and the Missouri State FEA president. I am also the vice president of my school’s math club, the captain of the varsity volleyball team, and play trombone in our band.
I have experience from my involvement in these activities that has prepared me to be an FEA national officer. I am very energetic, passionate about FEA, and eager to explore new opportunities. Whenever I initiate something, I do it to the best of my ability. I love to see what’s promised be fulfilled. In addition, I am an excellent leader, but can also step back and work with the team.
I desire to be a high school math teacher. Education is the top career choice throughout my family. Being an FEA officer will help me obtain more ideas and strategies for my future FEA chapter. Also, I can give my ideas to FEA chapters internationally. I know that I will be an excellent Central Region vice president.
